My daughter requested a chuppah that was an abstract representation of her ketubah, was compatible with the atmosphere and stained glass windows in the sanctuary, could be used as a decorative wall hanging after the ceremony and would become an heirloom for future generations to use. We carried the theme of her ketubah into the wedding reception by placing a unique abstract representation of it in the center of every table. These 27” squares of silk that I painted and signed were then given as gifts to members of the wedding party and special friends. These designs could be worn as scarves or hung as art.

Elizabeth Weinstein commissioned a tallis for her Bat Mitzvah. She added meaning to the phrase “dor l’dor” (from generation to generation) by teaching the 3 older generations of women in her family how to tie the tzitzit. When her great-grandmother died 2 weeks later, the tallis became a treasured object for the entire family.
